As we close out the year, we celebrate the extraordinary career of Terry Kennedy, SVP/Chief Human Resources and Business Development Officer. After 23 years with Exchange Bank, Terry has retired. Her impact has touched every corner of our organization—strengthening our culture, growing our team, and elevating the way we serve our customers and communities.

A Legacy of Leadership at Exchange Bank

Terry has been a guiding force for our employees and a trusted partner to leadership. She championed professional development, fostered a culture of care and accountability, and mentored colleagues across departments. Her steady leadership and people-first approach helped shape Exchange Bank into the community-focused institution it is today.

Service Beyond the Bank

Terry’s dedication extends well beyond our walls. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Communities In Schools Board and has held leadership roles with the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Baldwin, Partners for Progress, and Habitat for Humanity. She has also contributed her time and talents to the March of Dimes Planning Committee, Convention & Visitors Bureau Board, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and United Way of Central Georgia.

Professional Excellence and Recognition

Within the industry, Terry serves on the Georgia Bankers’ Association Human Resource Committee. Her contributions have been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Distinguished Women’s Award from the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia and the Rotary Club 4-Way Test Award.

A Career Built on Service

Before joining Exchange Bank, Terry spent 17 years in the aerospace industry with Grumman Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and Vought Aircraft, serving as an Executive Assistant and Community Relations Coordinator. She later transitioned to nonprofit leadership with United Way of Central Georgia, further deepening her commitment to service.
