Exchange Club Member of the Year

Missy Swicord Named Exchange Club Member of the Year

Exchange Bank is proud to share that Vice President Missy Swicord was recently honored with the Charlie Foster Exchange Club Member of the Year Award at the Georgia District Exchange Club Convention.

Missy has been an active member of the Exchange Club of Milledgeville for nearly 20 years. She’s spent those years giving her time and heart to support local youth, promote patriotism, prevent child abuse, and stay involved in efforts that strengthen our community.

For more than two decades, Exchange Bank has stood alongside the Exchange Club of Milledgeville through sponsorships, donations, and volunteerism. We’ve been proud to have a steady number of employees serve as club members over the years. Today, both Missy Swicord and Jonathan Pope serve as active members and sit on the club’s board.

The Exchange Club of Milledgeville is part of a national service organization founded in 1911, focused on building stronger communities through service and civic engagement. Locally, the club leads programs and events that promote American values, support youth development, and help protect children and families.

In addition to Missy’s individual recognition, the Exchange Club of Milledgeville brought home five major awards from the 100th Georgia District Exchange Club Convention, held June 6 at Unicoi Lodge in Helen, Georgia. Competing in the small club category against nearly a dozen other clubs across the state, Milledgeville was named the top overall winner.

Awards included:
  • Outstanding Club Secretary – Melissa Fort of Central Insurance Group
  • Wanda Whitten Outstanding Volunteer of the Year – Amber English of Century Bank and Trust
  • Ralph White Americanism Award – for the club’s support of the Lafayette Bicentennial Celebration
  • Best Club History Book (2024–25) – Dr. Jeff Wells of Georgia Military College and the Exchange Club of Milledgeville

We’re proud of their accomplishments and offer our congratulations to the entire club for the well-deserved recognition and the meaningful work they continue to do in our community.
