Exchange Bank Promotes Terry Kennedy
Milledgeville, GA – January 31, 2025 – The Exchange Bank Board of Directors and John C. Childs, Jr., President and CEO, are pleased to announce the promotion of Terry Kennedy to Senior Vice President – Chief Human Resources Officer / Chief Business Development Officer.
Kennedy has been an integral part of Exchange Bank since joining in 2003 as Director of Marketing and Public Relations. Over the years, she has played a crucial role in the bank’s growth, earning multiple promotions, including Assistant Vice President, Vice President of Business Development, and Senior Vice President in 2017.

Beyond her leadership at Exchange Bank, Kennedy is a dedicated community leader. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Communities In Schools Board and has held leadership roles in organizations such as the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Baldwin, Partners for Progress, and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, she has served on various committees, including the March of Dimes Planning Committee, Convention & Visitors Bureau Board, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and United Way of Central Georgia.
Kennedy also serves on the Georgia Bankers’ Association Human Resource Committee. Her contributions have been widely recognized, including receiving the Distinguished Women’s Award from the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia and the Rotary Club 4-Way Test Award.
Kennedy’s extensive background includes 17 years in the aerospace industry with Grumman Aerospace, Northrop Grumman, and Vought Aircraft, where she served as an Executive Assistant and Community Relations Coordinator before transitioning into nonprofit leadership at United Way of Central Georgia.
