

Exchange Bank Awards Scholarship Caden Loyd
Milledgeville, GA – May 19, 2025 – Exchange Bank recently announced Caden Loyd as the recipient of its 2025 Baldwin County area scholarship. Caden, a graduating senior of Georgia Military College Preparatory School, was honored with the $1,500 scholarship by Exchange Bank President and CEO John Childs during GMC’s recent Senior Honors Night.
Caden has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. He is a National Honor Society member, a C.A.S.E. Scholar at Mercer University, and a recipient of the prestigious Gilder Lehrman Award for excellence in history.
Beyond the classroom, Caden serves as the President of the GMC Honor Council and holds a leadership role within GMC’s JROTC battalion as executive officer. He has dedicated over 400 hours to volunteer service, contributing to efforts such as building wheelchair ramps, supporting local churches, and working with the Watson-Brown Junior Board of Trustees.

Caden plans to attend Mercer University this fall, majoring in Kinesiology and Religious Studies, with a goal of becoming a physical therapist.
