Exchange Bank Announces Promotion of Carol Holt to Lake Oconee Branch Manager and Loan Officer

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — The Exchange Bank Board of Directors and John C. Childs Jr., president and CEO, are pleased to announce the promotion of Carol Holt to Lake Oconee branch manager and loan officer. In her new role, Holt will report directly to Laura Poyner, senior vice president and market president.

Holt brings more than 30 years of banking and mortgage lending experience to her new position. She began her banking career in 1995 as a branch manager and loan originator with Magnolia State Bank. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in mortgage lending and loan processing through positions with First Choice Mortgage, Brand Mortgage, BankSouth and VanDyk Mortgage.

Holt first joined Exchange Bank in 2014 as a mortgage loan processor and returned to the bank in March 2024 as branch supervisor. Her extensive industry knowledge, commitment to customer service and experience in lending have positioned her well for this expanded leadership role.

As Lake Oconee branch manager and loan officer, Holt will oversee daily branch operations, support the bank's lending efforts and continue building relationships with individuals, families and businesses throughout the Lake Oconee community.
